Most objects are designed first, then a material is chosen to make them. We work the opposite way — concrete comes first. The design grows from what it can and cannot do. That limitation is the creativity.
多くのものはまずデザインされ、それから素材が選ばれる。私たちは逆だ。コンクリートが先にある。デザインは、その素材にできることとできないことの中から生まれる。その制約が、創造性になる。
Craftsmanship is disappearing. Not because people stopped caring — because the difficult path stopped being chosen. We chose it anyway.
